Started developing its own software

Providing software that combines high colour matching performance with ease of use

Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) has started developing its own computer colour matching software.

In quality control across various industrial fields, colour management using measuring instruments has become a key factor. Due to their superb reliability and multifunctionality, Konica Minolta’s colorimeters are widely used for quality control, production, and R&D in industries where colour measurement and management are required, such as automobiles, electrical equipment, smartphones, cosmetics, paints, plastics, construction materials, and textiles.

When developing and manufacturing paints and plastics, it is necessary to determine the mixture of pigments and other materials to create the desired colour, a process known as colour mixing. Computer colour matching (CCM) aims to streamline colour communication and colour management, significantly improving the traditional colour mixing process and helping companies enhance their quality control and production efficiency.

Konica Minolta restarts offering CCM software solutions on a global basis. In doing so, we aim to strengthen the collaboration between CCM software, our colour measuring instruments, and colour management software to provide continuous and stable performance.

Today's CCM software offerings will serve as the foundational building blocks embedded in the future solution ecosystem. Empowered by smart and easy porting tools as well as services, Konica Minolta simplifies any future workflow migration steps. The full own and newly developed CCM platform is expected to be released around spring 2026.

Konica Minolta will play its role as a leading company in the colour measurement market by utilizing computer colour matching technology to contribute to improving customer quality and business operations.
